Just Hair....

Well, since I'm no longer on fotki & I was horrible at keeping it up to date I decided to take some very recent photos showing my current length while it's pressed.

-I'm a no relaxer, no texturizer natural. I do color my hair. I LOVE jet black hair!
-My hair growth is average. Sometimes I retain most of my length, sometimes it get snipped off.
-According to my body proportions as you can see it is hip length, very back tailbone & my former bangs are waist length.
-My hair type... I call it wavy/curly/big. More big "S" waves with a few big spirals towards the front. My strands are a bit silky yet thick. As for that "chart" I fall into the 3b/c with 2b in the very back. I have a combination of my Mother & Father's hair. Case in point, there's a party on my scalp!
-Do I have a length goal? I'd like to reach classic length in 4 years & maintain thereafter.
-My haircare routine & styles are VERY simple. I don't care for keeping my hands in my head too much. I have over 25 videos explaining my hair from maintenance, styling, etc.

  2. Beautiful hair! I'm thinking of coloring my hair soon. What are you using to color. Do you color at a salon or at home?

  4. Thanks ladies. I use ION Color Brilliance Creme Permanent hair color in Jet Black and ION Sensitive Scalp Creme Developer in volume 10 or 20. I do all of my own haircare from color, dusting/trims, etc. Besides no stylist can do my hair.

  6. Hi LeobobyC5,
I have recently discovered that I really enjoy doing my hair now that I am going natural. For so many years I depended on someone else to 'do' my hair. Now that I take care of my hair, I am falling in love with it. This is a journey every African American woman should take. The unexpected benefits of loving a part of myself is a real boost in my self-esteem. Now I hate to hear other women talk bad about their hair and by extension, about themselves. Embracing and loving my hair is so fulfilling, it makes me take better care of the rest of my body to. Keep up the good work
