Since I get quite a few questions on if my nails are real often, I also get asked do I ever go without polish. Yes I do let my nails breath at times, only wearing a strengthening base coat like Sally Hansen Double Duty Base/Top Coat to prevent breakage. I buff, file, clean & massage my nails with vitamin E oil before applying color & when I'm not. As I mention in a previous post, my left thumb nail seen here is shorter due to it breaking a couple of weeks ago down to the nail base(talk about VERY painful & bloody) but it has grown since then.
This picture shows my nails right after a vitamin E massage and free of any base coat... just naked.
My New Year's Eve nail look. Recent my left thumbnail broke down to my nail bed, OUCH, but is growing out again. It happens, LOL.

Lady's slipper orchids, lady slipper orchids or slipper orchids are the orchids in the subfamily Cypripedioidea, which includes the genera Cypripedium, Mexipedium, Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium and Selenipedium. They are characterised by the slipper-shaped pouches (modified labellums) of the flowers – the pouch traps insects so they are forced to climb up past the staminode, behind which they collect or deposit pollinia, thus fertilizing the flower.-Wikipedia
I received a beautiful gift yesterday that happens to be my favorite flower in the whole wide world... a burgundy Slipper Orchid. I've never been a roses type of chick, absolutely detest them. This beautiful creature brought a pleasant smile to my face upon awakening this Sunday morning ;^)
